I was over in hay country near Boardman, and talked to some big time hay growers, and they are moving Alfalfa at $180 a ton in 4X4 bales.  Small bales are closer to $200 a ton.  This is an improvment from this spring when prices were in the tank.  Growers say that they need $200 a ton for small bales to stay profitable,  prices has not been that high in awhile.

Lots of farmers are moving out of hay and into corn and grain, since hay has been dirt cheap for too many years.  This is already causing a pinch in supply, and by March,  prices will be through the roof.  It might be a good idea to find your hay for next summer early, as I bet there will be a big rush for 1st cutting in June.
